The Networks team is responsible for making blockchain connectivity inside MetaMask feel invisible, reliable, and trustworthy—no matter which chain a user is interacting with. This includes ownership of EVM and non-EVM network connectivity, network switching, chain discovery, RPC configuration, performance and reliability, safety, L2s, custom networks, and the speed at which MetaMask can safely support new networks. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on the team that owns the execution of MetaMask’s network layer—one of the most critical and complex parts of the wallet. You will shape how MetaMask scales across emerging EVM chains and key non-EVM ecosystems, ensuring network expansion aligns with MetaMask’s broader product and business strategy while maintaining best-in-class reliability and user trust.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do * Build and enhance MetaMask’s network support for both EVM and non-EVM chains.
* Implement user-centric solutions across MetaMask Clients including Extension, Mobile, and Web
* Contribute to backend APIs and middlewares that power MetaMask’s network experiences.
* Help create intuitive, efficient, and secure Web3 interactions that delight users
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
* Participate in code reviews and help maintain high code quality standards
